Cast & Plow
Nestled in the scenic waterfront setting of Marina del Rey, Cast & Plow is the kind of spot that effortlessly blends coastal elegance with laid-back vibes. Tucked inside the Ritz-Carlton at 4375 Admiralty Way, this upscale restaurant knows how to deliver a memorable dining experience—without feeling too stuffy.
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm tones, moderate background buzz, and the inviting option to dine outdoors. It’s perfect for small gatherings or catching up with friends over good food and great views. The staff? Friendly without being overbearing, always ready with a recommendation or a refill.
Now, let's talk about the menu—because that’s where Cast & Plow really shines. Their Organic Salmon is a standout—beautifully cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. If you’re just in the mood to snack and sip, grab the Frites or the house-made Herb Brioche. Pair them with a craft cocktail and you're set. Craving comfort food? The Chicken Sandwich hits the spot, crispy and juicy with just the right kick. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, the Warm Sugar Cake is rich, indulgent, and totally worth it.
What makes Cast & Plow even more special is how it stays rooted in local flavors. The menu features seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby farms, which adds a fresh and thoughtful touch to every dish. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard—but still gets everything right, from the plating to the playlist.
So, whether you’re in for a casual brunch, a romantic evening, or just some seriously good food by the water, Cast & Plow has a table waiting for you.

Lunch was pretty good. A fresh winter salad with grilled chicken -- can't go wrong with But, the nighttime experience at the bar?? Beautiful drinks and friendly, non-stuffy service. And the bar snacks????? (See pic) Definitely worth asking for!
Cast & Plow offers breathtaking views of the marina, making it the perfect spot to relax outdoors on a gorgeous day. Whether you're sipping a cocktail or enjoying small bites by the fireplace, the ambiance is ideal for a laid-back yet luxurious experience. The service is excellent, and with the Ritz-Carlton setting, you're likely to run into interesting people, adding an extra touch of charm to your visit. Though there aren't many vegetarian options on the menu, the staff is accommodating with special requests, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy. It's an especially great place for breakfast and brunch, where the food is not only delicious but beautifully presented. Highly recommended for those seeking a stylish and relaxing dining experience by the water.
Great little spot in the Ritz. Loved the açaí bowl and the avocado toast. Actually, we liked it a lot more than we thought we would. Highly recommend trying it. Great service you would expect and right along the water.
Even though I live here in West LA I had family visiting town for an NFL game so they chose to stay at this MDR Ritz location. We decided to have Cast & Plow for dinner and then again for breakfast the following day before heading out. It is a beautiful location right on the water and you can view the docked boats during your entire meal. Outside seating on the patio has private seating with individual fire pits which I thought was a really nice touch. They don't have a dedicated parking lot except for the hotel. It will be valet or you can park in the parking lot across the street and walk over. Our servers for both meals were very polite and all of our items came out quickly. I'm giving it a 4/5 because the flavors were good but not great. I have had better dining and other Ritz hotels domestically and around the world. For my dinner I chose the Lamb Loin and the Seasoned Fries and thought both were pretty good. The Lamb Loin had a nice flavor and I especially enjoyed the zucchini mole which was a unique take on this dish for me. I felt the portion size was fair and overall it was pretty good. The next morning I had the Huevos Rancheros with upgraded Chorizo and thought it was fairly good however, they gave me a tiny amount of chorizo which paid extra for. The eggs were cooked perfectly and there was a lot of cheese and crunch, but thought it was a very small portion and I felt hungry afterwards. Overall it is a nice option when staying at the hotel but I would not go out of my way for it if I wasn't already staying there. I would suggest if you are visiting the hotel and want a convenient meal, however, most of the items on their menu you can get for room service as well.
So delicious , my favorite breakfast spot now! Im not a sweet tooth but their blueberry pancakes are amazing , not too sweet , just right and they use this amazing maple syrup that's just perfect! Also ordered a BLT and it had so much flavor and I felt clean after eating here! The view was amazing too!
